Sul Ross State University sophomore guard Tristen Licon has been named American Southwest Conference West Division Player of the Week in an announcement Monday, Jan. 14.

Licon posted a season-best 22 points as the Lobos defeated Howard Payne 82-78 in ASC West Division play Saturday.

Licon shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and was 7-for-11 from the field.

He also grabbed seven rebounds with three assists and a blocked shot.

Licon and the rest of the Lobos will face McMurry University in a 7:30 p.m. ASC tip this Thursday, Jan. 17 at Kimbrel Arena in Abilene.
