The Sul Ross State University men’s soccer team dropped a 2-1 ASC decision to visiting LeTourneau in Saturday afternoon, Sept. 29, action.

The Yellow Jacket’s Luis De La Torre posted the opening goal off a returned shot off the goalie into the net at the 4:33 mark, first half.

LeTourneau’s Dustin Gray then converted a header off an assist by Varney Carter at the 20th minute giving the visitors a 2-0 lead.

Lorenzo Segura then set up a tapper for Christopher Diaz to pull Sully to within one trailing 2-1 heading to the half and the eventual final.

For the game, both teams finished with an 11-shot, 6-on goal tally.

The Lobo men drop to 1-6 and 1-3. LeTourneau improves to 4-4-1 and 3-2-0.
