Texas Country Music Star William Beckmann will headline the “Live at Gallego” athletics benefit concert on Friday, Nov. 13, on the Sul Ross State University campus in Alpine.

A bilingual Texas-born singer-songwriter, Beckmann has quickly emerged as one of country music’s most distinctive young artists. Raised in Del Rio, his music reflects a blend of classic country, traditional pop and the mariachi influences of his Mexican heritage. His rich baritone and authentic storytelling have earned him a devoted following throughout Texas and beyond.

Following the success of his independent releases “Faded Memories” and “Here’s To You, Here’s To Me,” Beckmann toured alongside country music icons including George Strait, Parker McCollum and Charley Crockett. During his 2023 Grand Ole Opry debut, he received a standing ovation for his performance of the Spanish classic “Volver, Volver,” showcasing the bilingual artistry that has become his signature. His major-label debut album, “Whiskey Lies & Alibis,” further cemented his reputation for blending traditional country music with the unique sounds and stories of the Texas-Mexico border.

Texas singer-songwriter Jackson Wendell’s performances and authentic songwriting have made him a favorite with audiences across the state.

The evening at the Gallego Center begins with table seating and dinner at 6 p.m. The doors open for general admission at 7 p.m. Jackson Wendell will perform at 7:45 p.m., followed by a live auction at 8:30 p.m. Beckmann will take the stage at 9 p.m.
