How to Apply

All prospective students apply to Sul Ross State University through the state supported site ApplyTexas.org. Please see the following prospective student categories to determine your application path.

First Year Students

Apply as a Freshman if you’re still in high school or if you’ve graduated, but have not enrolled in another two or four year college. Apply using the Texas Common Application at www.applytexas.org. A one-time, non-refundable application fee of $25 is required. Freshmen are eligible to receive a fee waiver when they are eligible for, or receive, free or reduced lunches at school.

Rio Grande College Students

Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College has campuses in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde and offers junior, senior, and graduate level coursework. For admission, students will have completed a minimum of 42 semester credit hours with a 2.0 GPA from an accredited institution. All SRSU Rio Grande College students apply as Transfers. Transfer and Readmit Students

Apply as a Transfer if you’ve graduated from high school and have enrolled at another two- or four-year college.

Apply as a Readmit if you previously attended at Sul Ross and stopped taking classes for one or more semesters.

International Students

Apply as an International student if you are currently a resident of a country that is not the United States.
