Sul Ross State University Residential Living supports all residents in having a positive residential experience.  Part of the residential experience is participation in the dining services provided by Aramark.  Therefore, all residents living in the Residence Halls at Sul Ross State University are required to have a meal plan.  Aramark is committed to offering students varied menus that fit their dietary needs.  All exemption forms must be submitted with the proper documentation and approved by the Director of Residential Living. All appeals should be directed to the Dean of Students within 5 class days of a denied meal plan exemption.

Exemptions may be granted to students who meet the following criteria:

A medical condition which prohibits student from utilizing the Dining Meal Plan. Detailed medical documentation to verify the situation must be provided that includes a physician’s plan to meet your dietary needs (i.e. must eat low glycemic foods every two hours). This information must also be submitted to Counseling & Accessibility Services in order to be considered for an exemption.

Exemption forms can be found online.  All exemption forms must be turned into the Office of Residential Living no later than one week before the 1st official day of class. Late forms submitted will not be considered.
