Sul Ross State University is launching of a new Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program through the Rio Grande College of Business, designed to prepare students to excel in today’s fast-paced and data-driven financial environment.
The Master of Science in Finance graduate program combines advanced coursework in management, strategy, economics, accounting and governance with specialized studies in financial management, corporate finance, mergers and acquisition, and usage of AI. The curriculum provides both the technical depth and strategic perspective required for modern financial leadership roles.
Through case-driven learning and applied quantitative analysis, students develop the ability to forecast market shifts, evaluate investments, manage financial risk and design strategies that create long-term organizational value. The program culminates in a capstone project where students apply their expertise to solve complex, real-world financial challenges.
Dr. Sumantra Sengupta, Dean of the Rio Grande College of Business said, “Texas is well on the way to becoming one of the new epicenters for financial services firms and associated growth. Our workforce needs will require advanced capabilities at the intersection of finance and management. We look forward to contributing to the skills and capability development.”
