
Nine Sul Ross State University students were inducted into Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology, at a ceremony April 10.
Psi Chi’s mission is to mentor, inspire and support student excellence in scholarship and performance across all areas of psychology, while advancing the discipline in ways that are both rigorous and humane.
The society’s core values include scholarly excellence and integrity, professional development and personal growth, calling and connection, service and social responsibility, and stewardship and sustainability.
Membership provides opportunities to pursue high standards in scholarship, access grants and scholarships, prepare for careers and connect with a global network of more than 900,000 members committed to understanding and uplifting the human condition.
To become a member, students must be a psychology major or minor with cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above. Additionally, they must have completed at least nine semester credit hours of psychology coursework with a grade point average of 3.0 and above.
