The College of Graduate Studies at Sul Ross State University announced the first six recipients of the Dual Credit Pedagogy Certificate, which allows students to enhance their instructional skills for college level teaching.

Recipients include Michelle Markham Dugger (Kemp), Juan Fuantos (Eagle Pass), Karla Fuantos (Eagle Pass), Cody Santos (Eagle Pass), Stephanie Trevino (Eagle Pass) and Christian Rodriguez (Eagle Pass).

The certificate is a new initiative created in partnership with the College of Education. The course of study requires 18 credits in a teaching discipline and a capstone pedagogy course.

The certificate is made possible through a Title V grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
