The Bryan Wildenthal Memorial Library has much to offer—much more than just its many terrific books. The library building, itself, offers numerous excellent places to curl up and read, visit with friends, check the latest news in magazines, papers, and on their computers.  Pick a circumspect spot to think.  And, yes, even study.

First Floor of the Library near the game room and past all the computers offers current periodicals and spectacular views of Alpine.

The second floor is known as the periodicals floor by professors, but we students know it as the place to find reading pillows, study carols, and a cool couch corner for club meetings or just a conversation with friends.

The Archives of the Big Bend is also found on the second floor.  Here, students can see the primary sources of much of the history of the regions, from letters to pictures, and much more.  Hey, you can even see all of the old Skylines, Sages, and Brands there!

Where are all the books, you ask?  They are found on the third floor.  You can peruse the shelves and find a gem, or you can look up titles and authors on the computerized card catalogue.  Lots of excellent reads found on this floor, known by some professors as the stacks, as in stacks and stacks of good reads.

Don’t forget to look around those stacks of books:  Hidden at the ends of the third –row bookshelves are found quiet corners for reading, and, again, enjoying the views.  Some of the chairs even rock for ultimate comfort.
