
The Omicron Phi Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, held its annual spring induction ceremony at Sul Ross State University on April 29, welcoming three new members.
Spring 2025 inductees include Reagan Lynch (Master of Public Administration, Gainesville), Scott “Bull” Morehouse (Master of Public Administration, New Braunfels) and Steven Sturdivant (Master of Arts in Political Science, Duncanville).
Dr. Yen-Hsin Chen and Dr. Jessica Velasco hosted the induction ceremony. The President of Pi Sigma Alpha, Dr. Terri Towner, was also present to welcome new members. Dr. Towner gave a brief history of the organization and explained the many benefits of joining. In addition, Marketing Chair Taylor Moore was on hand to welcome new members and facilitate the oath.
The Pi Sigma Alpha Omicron Phi Chapter continues to support the growth and success of students interested in government, politics and public service at Sul Ross State University, inspiring academic excellence and active participation in the discipline. The SRSU Omicron Phi Chapter has received the Best Small Chapter Award from the national office for three straight years.
