
Sul Ross State University is proud to announce that Eduardo Russo, Ph.D., a Professor of Business, has been appointed Track Chair for the 2026 Academy of International Business – Latin America and the Caribbean Chapter (AIB-LAC) Annual Conference in Lima, Peru.
Founded in 1959, the Academy of International Business (AIB) is the world’s leading association of international business scholars, with more than 3,100 members across 93 countries. Since its creation in 2009, AIB-LAC has advanced scholarship, fostered collaboration, and promoted innovation across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Dr. Russo will chair Track 8: Innovative Teaching and Research Methods in International Business, which highlights novel approaches that bridge theory and practice in international business education. The track will explore topics such as digital pedagogy, online teaching, experiential and case-based learning, cross-cultural curriculum design, the use of artificial intelligence and analytics in teaching and research, simulations and games and innovative assessment strategies.
As Track Chair, Dr. Russo will guide the scholarly direction of the program, oversee the call for papers and lead the review process to ensure a rigorous and forward-looking agenda. His appointment highlights not only his expertise and leadership in international business education but also the growing visibility of Sul Ross State University within the global academic community.
The Call for Papers for the 2026 AIB-LAC Conference is currently open, with submissions accepted until Oct. 31. Scholars are encouraged to contribute their research across 10 thematic tracks. Details can be found at https://lac.aib.world/2026-call-for-papers/.
The Lima conference will bring together international business researchers, educators and practitioners to exchange insights, strengthen collaboration and advance knowledge in the field.
