Sul Ross State University is proud to offer convenient on‑campus housing for our faculty and staff. While availability is limited, our community provides a comfortable and welcoming place to call home.
Each apartment features two bedrooms and one bathroom. Your monthly rate includes all utilities as well as wireless internet service, making on‑campus living simple and stress‑free. Every unit includes a full kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, along with an in‑unit washer and dryer combo for added convenience.

*Semester rate for all apartments are based on 5 full months each semester. Monthly rent is listed only for comparison purposes. Rent for the entire semester is added to the employee’s account at the beginning of each semester with the exception of the summer months of June and July, which are billed together as a summer term. New rent prices for a new semester go in effect each year on August 1.

For employment verification, we would ask for a copy of your offer letter that shows start date and the department you are working for. Frequently Asked Questions:
Is the apartment furnished?
Yes. The entire apartment is fully furnished. The master bedroom includes a queen‑size bed, and the guest bedroom includes a twin XL bed. All provided furniture must remain in the unit and cannot be removed.
Do I have to stay for the entire semester or academic year?
Housing is billed by the semester. However, you may cancel your contract before the end of the semester. We ask that you notify our office at least 30 days in advance.

Move‑In: Rent begins on the 1st of each month. Move‑ins after the 1st are charged the full month’s rent unless otherwise approved by the Director of Residential Living.

Mid‑Month Move‑Out: The Office of Residential Living requires a 30‑day emailed notice for all residents moving out of university‑owned apartments. If you move out on or after the 15th, you will be charged for the full month, with no proration for the final month.
Are pets allowed in Employee Housing?
Yes. Pets are allowed with the following guidelines:

A one‑time, non‑refundable $250 pet fee per household is required before move‑in or before bringing a pet on site.

Allowed pets: dogs, cats, and fish (within Residential Living tank size limits).

Any other pet requires prior written approval from the Director of Residential Living.

All pets must be kept in an appropriate enclosure or kennel when the resident is away. Rooms in the unit (bedroom/bathroom) do not count as enclosures.

Additional fees may apply for undisclosed pets or any pet‑related damage.
Is storage available on campus?
No. Employee Housing does not offer on‑campus storage. Residents will need to arrange storage through local providers.
