Computer Science

The Computer Science program offers a dynamic and up-to-date curriculum designed to prepare students for careers in software engineering, cybersecurity, gaming, and education. Students gain hands-on experience with programming languages such as C#, C++, HTML5, PHP, and Python, while studying core topics like data structures, databases, networking, operating systems, and human-computer interaction.

Concentrations:

  • Traditional Computer Science – Focus on software development and solving real-world business problems.

  • Gaming Technology – Learn to design and develop games and apps for Apple, PC, and Android platforms.

  • Cyber Security – Train to manage, secure, and audit computer systems and networks.

Additional Options:

  • Computer Science Teacher Certification – Prepare to teach high school computer science.

  • Minor in Computer Science – Complete 18 credit hours including foundational and upper-level coursework to enhance any major.
