For the fifth time, the El Paso Museum of Art and the Museo de Arte de Ciudad Juárez are collaborating on an exhibition promoting art from the U.S.-Mexico border region. More than 200 submissions were narrowed down to 32 selections—all of which address human and environmental conditions along the border. Each selected artist or collective currently has work displayed in both museums; this means patrons wishing to view the entire exhibition must cross the border. Works include interactive art, videos, photographs, sculptures, and site-specific installations. Issues addressed by the artworks include crossing, immigration, and the unique physical, linguistic, and cultural mixtures found in the region. The exhibition ends Sept. 16.
EPMA is open 9:00-5:00 Tuesday through Saturday, 12:00-5:00 Sunday, and closed on Mondays.
