The Museum of the Big Bend received a $75,000 grant from the Still Water Foundation Fund, a component fund of the Permian Basin Area Foundation. The grant was presented to the Museum on May 5.
“On behalf of the Museum’s staff and Director’s Advisory Council members, I wish to express my deepest gratitude and thanks for this amazing gift,” said Museum Director Mary Bones. “The Still Water Foundation has been a true and steadfast friend to the Museum for many years.”
Bones added that the financial support will enable the Museum to purchase materials and supplies to ensure the safety and well-being of volunteers, staff, student workers and visitors.
“This also creates a more sound financial footing as the Museum reopens to the public,” Bones said. “We are truly grateful for this wonderful and timely gift.”
