The Sul Ross State University Institutional Review Board (IRB) has implemented a brand new research tool to assist faculty and students with the launch of IRBNet on Wednesday, July 1.
IRBNet is a secure, web-based solution to support faculty and student research.
“This is now available to our research community and offers a streamlined application process for research management,” said Deborah Derden, Director of Institutional Research at Sul Ross. Derden has been working with faculty to create the Institutional Review Board IRBNet portal.
Dr. Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Interim Assistant Provost for Research, has been leading a faculty group to create the IRBNet portal for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
“All researchers with animal or human subjects will now have access to the IRBNet support system,” Derden said.
She added that the new IRBNet system will promote first goal of the SRSU Strategic Plan to promote growth in academic, research and artistic excellence.
