The Sul Ross State University Office of Institutional Effectiveness convened the members of the original Strategic Planning Steering Committee on Monday, November 25th.

“We have a winning plan with SACSCOC endorsement from December, 2018,” said Dr. Jeanne Qvarnstrom,  Assistant Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness.

“Dr. Bonnie Warnock, who chairs the original Strategic Plan Steering Committee, explained that when writing the plan, the committee was both aspirational and practical,” she said.

Dr. Eric Funasaki, who is the Strategic Plan Coordinator for Alpine, reported on the successes of the Strategic Plan.

“With that overview, the participants began assessing the implementation of the plan in year three and making some recommendations for fine tuning the document to guide Sul Ross successfully in the remaining two years of the plan,” Qvarnstrom said. She added that the committee plans to complete the review in December.

Participants include Dr. Bonnie Warnock, Dr. Joey Velasco, April Aultman Becker, Dave Gibson, Kara O’Shaughnessy, Dr. Jeanne Qvarnstrom, Karlin Devoll and Dr. Eric Funasaki.
