The tragedy that occurred in El Paso earlier today has left our university community heartbroken. Our residents frequently travel to El Paso to visit family members and experience the wonderful culture of the city.
As we continue to follow this devastating news, I want to remind our students and employees that the Sul Ross Counseling Center (Ferguson Hall) is available to help. In addition, if any of our students need to travel to El Paso to check on your loved ones, please inform your professors and work with our Dean of Students office to make arrangements for your classes. Faculty and staff who need to leave should inform their supervisors and work with the Office of Human Resources as appropriate.
On behalf of the entire university community, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with the families and survivors.
