Marley Rokas, a senior Political Science major at Sul Ross State University, met with local women in government on Dec. 12 to present her policy brief on women’s representation in government. The brief was written to satisfy requirements for the PS 3315: Women & Politics class, taught by Dr. Jessica Velasco, and presented to meet the requirements for honors credit. Following the presentation, attendees engaged in a robust discussion about the presentation, strategies for improving women’s representation in politics and citizen engagement, sharing perspectives from both sides of the political spectrum.
