Establishing a New School
Still in its early stage, the School of Health Sciences will be established within the College of Agriculture, Life and Physical Sciences.
It will house the Department of Kinesiology and the new Department of Health Studies, which will include the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
New degrees will be created for a B.S. in Health Sciences (pre-med, pre-dental) and in Health Studies with specializations in Rural Health Administration and other support fields, starting in Fall 2024.
A focus on healthcare programming is the result of several studies in our service region that suggest growth in the industry and the need for a workforce.
