“In accordance with the Drug Free Schools and Campuses Drug Prevention Program Certification, Sul Ross State University has adopted and implemented a program to prevent the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by its students and employees on school premises or as a part of any of its activities. The University promotes a drug-free awareness program to keep its employees and students informed about the dangers of drug abuse; the policy of maintaining a drug-free workplace; the health risks of drug abuse; available drug counseling, rehabilitation, and employee assistance programs; penalties that may be imposed for drug abuse violations occurring in the workplace; and the legal sanctions of possession or distribution of alcohol or other drugs. Sul Ross State University will make a good faith effort to continue to maintain a drug-free workplace and a drug-free campus” Administrative policy and procedure manual (APM) 5.10.c (Revised 5/2012)
