Student Success Institute

For students who have not cleared TSI standards for college-level courses in reading, writing, and/or mathematics to better prepare them to begin college-level coursework. The program is structured around high-impact practices to increase engagement and retention, motivate incoming students, expand skills in math, reading, and writing, and to give students a jump start to college life. Students will engage with others in workshops, field trips, success programs, and on campus summer program activities – all of which make for an easier transition into the Fall 2023 semester. Program students will have an opportunity to retest the TSIA at the end of the program to better their scores, while receiving advising and registration help from Sul Ross State University.

Sponsored by Title III STEM Lobotrack to Success, the program will be free to students who apply. The deadline to apply is June 4th, 2023.
