The SRSU Sustainability Council launched its first annual Sustainability Survey via email on Wednesday, Nov. 28 to assess the Sul Ross community’s knowledge of sustainability, sustainable practices, attitudes about sustainability topics, and awareness about the University’s sustainability initiatives.
Goal 5, Objective 3 of the 2017 Strategic Plan provides the guidelines for advancing, and providing support for, sustainability initiatives throughout SRSU. And the Sustainability Survey was specifically crafted by students, faculty, and staff serving on the Sustainability Council, along with generous assistance from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, to begin the process of achieving that goal. To further this initial effort, the Sustainability Council is especially eager to identify interested parties in Uvalde, Del Rio, and Eagle Pass to discuss sustainability initiatives across the Sul Ross community.
Results of the survey will be presented in an open-forum Town Hall meeting in Alpine (with streaming participation to other campuses) during the Spring 2019 semester.
