Students may qualify for Student Support Services if they have a need for academic support and meet at least one* of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Meet federal low income guidelines.
  • Are first generation: neither parent has a baccalaureate degree.
  • Have a federally recognized documented disability.

Students must fill out an application in order to participate in Student Support Services. Applications are linked in the side menu (Right) or can be obtained by visiting the Student Support Services office in Ferguson Hall 105, emailing sss@sulross.edu or by calling (432) 837-8118.

The Student Support Services TRIO Program at Sul Ross State University is 100% federally funded.

*Availability may vary on program numbers. See the Federal regulations (§646.11) for more details. Please note that in some cases, the student might be put on a waiting list even if the student meets more than one requirement because of these regulations.
