Housing applications for Summer 2024 term and the Academic Year 2024-2025 are now live!

We are glad you are interested in housing here at Sul Ross State University (SRSU)! Please follow the below steps to apply for housing. As a reminder, you must have completed your application to SRSU and be accepted to apply for housing.

Step 1.  Have you applied to Sul Ross?

If yes, please continue to step 2.

If no, please apply to the University and return here once you have received and activated your Lobo ID.

Step 2.  Have you activated your Lobo ID?

If yes, please continue to step 3.

If no, please click here and login with your A number and PIN to create your password and activate your Lobo ID.  Once you have activated your Lobo ID, please return and go to step 3.

If you need help with your Lobo ID or email account please contact the Office of Information Technology. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) can be reached by calling (432)837-8888 or by emailing ltac@sulross.edu.

Step 3.  Please log into the StarRez Housing Portal using your Lobo ID and complete your application for the residence halls. You must pay a $50 application fee in order to submit your housing application. This payment can be made by submitting your payment via the StarRez Housing Software portal with a credit card or by paying in person at the Cashier’s Office and submitting your receipt via email to reslife@sulross.edu.

Only students who are eligible for the Efficiency and Lobo Pack apartments, will see these options on the housing portal. Step 4. View your room/roommate. Once your application is in “Approved” status, check your Sul Ross e-mail account for an e-mail regarding your housing and roommate assignment. Important Deadlines: 

  1. Summer 2024 Residence Hall Application. We encourage you to submit this as soon as possible. However, the priority deadline is April 30th. The sooner you submit, the sooner we can secure you a housing assignment. Plus, the sooner your student’s account will reflect the final bill for your payment plan.
  2. Academic Year 2024 – 2025 Residence Hall and Apartments Applications. To secure your housing assignment for the upcoming academic year, please submit your application by the priority deadline of May 15th.
  3. Do you already have a roommate in mind? To ensure that you and the other person get the same room assignment, both of you must complete the same application by May 15th. You can create a roommate group and request a roommate within the application. Roommate requests received after May 15th may not be guaranteed.

Note: Housing and meal plan charges will be posted on your student account after a housing assignment has been issued. If you enrolled in a payment plan before you received a housing assignment, note that your installment amount may increase once the housing and meal plan charges get posted afterwards.
