2026 Blackboard course shells are set to automatically become available to students on their first official class day and are set to automatically become unavailable to students after the final official class day.

FULL SUMM TERM – Full summer session Blackboard courses will automatically open on the first class day on 05/27/2026 and will automatically close a week after the final class day on 08/12/2026.
SUMM 1 TERM – 1st summer session Blackboard courses will automatically open on the first class day on 05/27/2026 and will automatically close a week after the final class day on 07/01/2026.
SUMM 2 TERM – 2nd summer session Blackboard courses will automatically open on the first class day 07/06/2026 and will automatically close a week after the final class day on 08/12/2026.
TO REQUEST A DIFFERENT AUTOMATIC OPENING /CLOSING DATE FOR YOUR FULL SUMMER, SUM 1&2 COURSES: Simply contact your Blackboard support at blackboardsupport@sulross.edu and make an open/close date change request.
