TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) is available for potential Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) candidates. It is a three and a half hour proctored test designed to assess students’ preparedness to enter the health science field.
The TEAS examination is provided by the Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI). To be considered a candidate for the SRSU BSN program, students must complete the latest version of the TEAS with the required minimum reading score of 70% and math score of 69%. Following successful completion of all admission requirements, potential students can apply for the SRSU BSN program here.
The completed forms must be returned to the Department of Nursing on or before January 31 to be considered for admission to following summer cohort.
The cost of the TEAS through the registration process with ATI is $70 per test administration. The cost of the Testing Center for proctoring services is $15/administration. Payment for both the exam and testing center proctor will be collected on the day of testing. All students and potential candidates must schedule an appointment with the Testing Center in advance.
