Sul Ross Risk Management is comprised of identifying risks, assessing those risks, monitoring developments, implementations, mitigations and final assessments while ensuring that a comprehensive program is maintained. The primary objective of the risk management program is to minimize operational risk. To fully support this objective, the following goals and processes have been established:
- Identify risks
- Evaluate, measure and prioritize risks
- Maximize life safety
- Protect physical assets
- Provide a reasonably safe environment for employees and the public
- Take appropriate actions to control or respond to risks
Identifying and implementing the goals help support and strengthen Sul Ross State University’s environment by proactively encouraging University leadership, faculty, and staff to incorporate risk management objectives, goals, and processes into day-to-day decision making.
